"Speedy, energetic and fun, Distorted Garden are here to smash boredom and monotony. All songs are in the key of Fast, and the breakneck pace never lets up for a second. The singer sounds a bit deranged, like maybe somebody smashed his favourite guitar and replaced it with a cheapo Mann copy. They won’t steal Bad Religion’s fanbase away, but the Aqua Bats might be in trouble.
Don’t try to hire Distorted Garden for your next sock-hop, because Discretion is Advised was created entirely by Evan Thomas, who sings and plays all the instruments. Evan did a stint as bassist for the Rebel Spell, and you can hear that influence in places. He also wrote all songs except “Fire On Anarchist Mountain” by Joey Only." - Chris Walter
